We are seeking a motivated, analytical, and creative Digital Advertising Specialist to help expand our digital advertising efforts and drive measurable online sales growth.
Position Overview
The Digital Advertising Specialist will be responsible for creating, launching, optimizing, and maintaining conversion-focused digital advertising campaigns designed to generate product sales, qualified leads, and measurable revenue.
This role will involve the ongoing management of campaigns and ad groups across platforms such as Instagram, LinkedIn, Reddit, and YouTube. The successful candidate will be comfortable working with product catalogs, audience targeting, advertising creative, campaign data, and performance metrics to continuously improve return on advertising spend.
Experience managing Google PPC, Google Shopping, or Amazon advertising campaigns is considered a strong asset.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys testing new ideas, solving performance challenges, analyzing results, and working collaboratively with marketing, creative, e-commerce, and sales team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, launch, and manage new digital advertising campaigns and ad groups focused on generating product sales, qualified leads, and measurable revenue.
- Develop and maintain advertising campaigns across:
- Instagram and Meta advertising platforms
- LinkedIn Ads
- Reddit Ads
- YouTube Ads
- Build and manage audience targeting strategies based on customer demographics, interests, industries, job roles, purchasing behaviour, and other relevant data.
- Develop and test advertising strategies for individual products, product categories, brands, promotions, and seasonal sales opportunities.
- Monitor advertising campaigns daily to identify opportunities to improve performance, increase conversions, and reduce inefficient spending.
- Optimize campaign budgets, bids, targeting, placements, audiences, creative assets, and ad copy based on performance data.
- Create and manage new ad groups and campaign structures as products, promotions, and business priorities evolve.
- Conduct ongoing A/B testing of advertising creative, headlines, messaging, calls to action, audiences, landing pages, and campaign strategies.
- Work closely with graphic designers, content creators, product teams, and marketing personnel to develop effective advertising images, videos, and promotional content.
- Provide creative direction and feedback to help ensure advertising assets are optimized for each platform and campaign objective.
- Review campaign performance using key metrics such as return on ad spend (ROAS), cost per acquisition, conversion rate, cost per click, click-through rate, revenue, and customer acquisition costs.
- Prepare and communicate regular campaign performance reports, insights, recommendations, and growth opportunities.
- Identify underperforming campaigns and develop practical solutions to improve results.
- Research competitor advertising, industry trends, platform updates, customer behaviour, and emerging digital advertising opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal team members to coordinate advertising campaigns with product launches, promotions, inventory availability, seasonal demand, and broader marketing initiatives.
- Help improve the connection between advertising campaigns, product pages, landing pages, and the overall customer purchasing experience.
- Maintain accurate campaign documentation and follow established advertising processes and reporting standards.
- Stay current with changes to advertising platforms, targeting capabilities, privacy requirements, analytics tools, and digital marketing best practices.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a digital advertising, paid media, performance marketing, or similar role.
- Demonstrated experience creating, launching, managing, and optimizing paid advertising campaigns.
- Previous hands-on experience with one or more of the following platforms:
- Instagram and Meta Ads
- LinkedIn Ads
- Reddit Ads
- YouTube Ads
- Experience creating advertising campaigns focused on e-commerce product sales, online conversions, lead generation, or measurable business growth.
- Strong understanding of campaign structures, ad groups, audience targeting, conversion tracking, budget management, bidding strategies, and advertising optimization.
- Experience with Google Ads, Google PPC, Google Shopping, or Amazon Ads is considered a strong asset.
- Experience working with e-commerce product catalogs, product feeds, shopping campaigns, or dynamic product advertising is an asset.
- Familiarity with digital analytics and advertising performance metrics.
- Experience using advertising reporting and analytics tools is preferred.
- Strong understanding of how advertising creative, messaging, audience targeting, and landing-page experience influence campaign performance.
- Post-secondary education in marketing, advertising, business, communications, digital media, or a related field is preferred but not required where equivalent professional experience is demonstrated.
