As an independent, non-profit, regulatory agency that oversees the sales of new and used personal-use vehicles, the VSA:
- licenses motor vehicle dealerships, salespeople, broker agents, broker agent representatives, and wholesalers

What is the role?
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Dynamics 365 & Power Automate Developer to design, build, and optimize enterprise-grade solutions within the Microsoft ecosystem. In this role, you will bridge the gap between business processes and technical execution, leveraging Microsoft Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform (specifically Power Automate and Dataverse) to streamline operations, automate workflows, and integrate disparate business systems.
The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in low-code/pro-code hybrid development, deep knowledge of the Dynamics 365 Dataverse architecture, and expertise in engineering complex cloud flows and business process flows.
They will also participate in multiple large projects and initiatives that will provide integral information to various stakeholders including management, the Executive Team and the Board of Directors.
This role is required to assist VSA staff with IT related enquiries.
What you'll do:
- Workflow Automation: Design, develop, test, and deploy robust Power Automate cloud flows, desktop flows (RPA), and business process flows to automate repetitive business tasks and system integrations.
- Dynamics 365 Customization: Configure, customize, and extend Microsoft Dynamics 365 (CRM/CE) modules (such as Sales, Customer Service, or Field Service) to align with organizational requirements using native tools, JavaScript, and C#.
- System Integration: Connect Dynamics 365 and Power Platform solutions with external enterprise applications, legacy databases, and Microsoft 365 services (Teams, SharePoint, Azure) via APIs, webhooks, and Azure services.
- Dataverse Management: Configure Microsoft Dataverse components, including tables, columns, security roles, business rules, and data relationships.
- Requirements & Collaboration: Partner with business analysts, stakeholders, and functional consultants to translate business requirements into scalable, high-performing technical designs.
- Application Lifecycle Management (ALM): Manage solution deployments across environments (Dev, Test, Prod) using Power Platform pipelines, Azure DevOps, or Git version control.
- Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Monitor flow performance, troubleshoot errors, optimize bottlenecks, and provide Tier-2/3 technical support for existing workflows and applications.
Education Certification and Experience:
- Experience: Minimum of [2–4+] years of professional experience in software development, with a strong focus on the Microsoft Power Platform and Dynamics 365.
- Power Automate Mastery: Advanced expertise in building complex Power Automate flows, handling error management, JSON parsing, expressions, custom connectors, and parent-child flow architectures.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications: Active Microsoft certifications such as:
- Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate (Exam PL-400)
- Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Functional Consultant Associate (Exam PL-200)
- Dynamics 365 Core/Sales/Customer Service certifications.
- RPA Knowledge: Experience with Power Automate Desktop for robotic process automation.
- Agile Environment: Experience working within Agile/Scrum sprint cycles.
- Dynamics 365 Proficiency: Solid hands-on experience customizing Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (CE) / CRM, model-driven apps, and Dataverse architecture.
- Technical Stack:
- Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, C#, and .NET (for plugins and custom workflow activities).
- Experience utilizing REST APIs, OData, and JSON.
- Cloud & Tools: Familiarity with Azure services (Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Key Vault) and ALM tools (Azure DevOps, Solution Packager).
- Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical business partners.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Comprehensive understanding of network architecture and client/server technology
- Knowledge and understanding of the significance of confidentiality when maintaining public records
- Strong communication skills – both interpersonal and technical
- Knowledge of internet and web-based applications
