Senior Server, C Suite | Yorkville, Toronto
C Suite is seeking an experienced Senior Server who can support the quality, rhythm, and standards of a small, detail-focused front-of-house team.
This role is for someone who can do more than take orders and deliver food and drinks. We are looking for someone with strong product knowledge, room awareness, clear communication, and the judgment to support the full guest experience.
Because we operate with a small team, each person has a direct impact on the room. The right candidate should be able to manage their own responsibilities while staying aware of the bar, floor, guests, timing, and overall service flow.
While this role begins as a Senior Server position, we are looking for someone with the potential to grow into a broader front-of-house and bar role. At C Suite, bartending is not only about making drinks. It is an important part of understanding our service, our beverage program, and how we create a complete guest experience.
After a 60–90 day review period, candidates may be considered for bar training based on demonstrated product knowledge, consistency, judgment, room awareness, communication, and overall performance.
Responsibilities
- Provide polished, attentive, and thoughtful service
- Manage guest interactions, timing, order accuracy, and follow-up with confidence
- Maintain strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wine, food, and non-alcoholic offerings
- Make informed recommendations based on each guest’s preferences and context
- Read the room and anticipate guest, team, and operational needs
- Communicate clearly with the bar and front-of-house team
- Support the bar and floor when needed to maintain smooth service
- Recognize service issues early and respond before they affect the guest experience
- Maintain high standards of organization, cleanliness, opening, and closing procedures
- Contribute to the consistency and standard of the room as a whole
Qualifications
- Previous experience in an upscale restaurant, cocktail bar, hotel bar, or fine dining environment is strongly preferred
- Strong foundation in cocktails, spirits, wine, food, and hospitality fundamentals
- Ability to explain products naturally, clearly, and accurately
- Strong situational awareness and composure under pressure
- Ability to manage multiple guest needs while maintaining timing and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently while staying connected to the team
- Interest in bartending, beverage education, and long-term growth is an asset
- Dependability, accountability, and openness to feedback
- Availability on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings is required
- Smart Serve certification is required
Who We Are Looking For
You notice what is happening beyond your own section.
You know what you are serving and understand why it matters.
You can guide guests through cocktails, spirits, wine, food, and non-alcoholic options without sounding scripted.
You bring a calm, warm, and positive energy that makes guests feel comfortable, welcomed, and well cared for.
You are attentive without being intrusive, confident without being rigid, and independent without losing sight of the team.
You care about the standard of the entire room, not only your immediate responsibilities.
Compensation & Growth
$17.60–$20.00 per hour plus gratuities, based on experience, product knowledge, and level of responsibility.
Candidates who demonstrate clear growth within their first year may be considered for increased compensation, additional shifts, and potential full-time opportunities based on performance, availability, business needs, and level of responsibility.
Candidates who develop the ability to take on professional bartending responsibilities may also be considered for broader front-of-house and bar responsibilities over time.
To Apply
Please send your résumé with a brief introduction.
In your note, please describe a time when you noticed a guest or service issue before being asked, and explain how you handled it.
