Shane Homes Group of Companies is excited to welcome a Marketing Content and Communications Coordinator to join our Marketing Team at our Head Office in Calgary, AB. This is a hands-on role for a creative storyteller who can turn ideas, community moments, and company news into thoughtful content that feels unmistakably Shane Homes.
Why Join Shane Homes?
At Shane Homes, people are our priority. Whether it is our teammates, homeowners, or the communities we serve, we are committed to doing the right thing and treating everyone fairly. We offer more than jobs - we design futures and build careers, giving our team members the support and encouragement to take ownership of their journey.
We reward our employees for their hard work and dedication towards meeting company goals with our unique profit-sharing program. Shane Homes strives to build a culture focused on family values, community involvement and continuous innovation within the home building industry.
Here's What You Bring to the Team:
As our Marketing Content and Communications Coordinator, you are equal parts storyteller, creator, and organizer. You write with warmth and confidence, bring creative direction to every shoot, and know how to capture the moments that help people feel connected to our homes, communities, and team. You are comfortable owning projects from the first idea through production, delivery, and performance reporting - while keeping multiple timelines moving and your teammates informed.
We Would Love It If You Had These Too:
- Strong written communication and copywriting skills, with the ability to write in a warm, confident, human, and relationship-driven brand voice.
- Hands-on email marketing experience; experience producing newsletters in HubSpot, including layout, segmentation, scheduling, list management, and reporting, is an asset.
- A strong eye for visual storytelling and the confidence to concept, direct, photograph, and film content independently at events, Showhomes, communities, and in-house moments.
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, including culling, colour correction, retouching, resizing, and preparing assets for print and digital use.
- Strong Canva and day-to-day graphic design skills, with sound aesthetic judgment and the ability to create polished social and campaign assets.
- Videography and editing skills to produce publish-ready Reels, TikToks, event highlights, and community lifestyle content, including captions, pacing, colour grading, and platform-specific formatting.
- Excellent organization and follow-through, with the ability to manage concurrent projects, meet deadlines, and flag risks early.
- A collaborative, proactive approach and a genuine appreciation for family ownership, community, quality, and strong customer relationships.
Here's What Your Day-To-Day Could Look Like:
- Own the Shane Homes email newsletter from copywriting through HubSpot production, approval, scheduling, sending, contact-list management, and monthly performance reporting.
- Create and distribute internal and external communications for Shane Homes and Shane Communities, including community updates, launches, market insights, lifestyle content, event invitations, brand news, and team updates.
- Partner with People & Culture and Customer Experience on culture and recruitment initiatives, including job-posting content and employer-brand assets.
- Concept, plan, capture, and edit photography and video that tells the story of our communities, events, team, and day-to-day brand moments.
- Supply the Social Media Specialist with a consistent, well-planned pipeline of on-the-ground visual assets for upcoming content and campaigns.
- Create polished graphics and templates in Canva, and prepare photography in Adobe Photoshop for social media, web, print, and digital channels.
- Coordinate the Videographer's shoot schedule, develop clear briefs, support selected shoots, and organize delivered footage in the brand asset library.
- Maintain organized, accessible photography, video, and design libraries so approved assets are easy for the Marketing Team to find and use.
- Bring fresh ideas to weekly Marketing meetings, provide clear project updates, and support additional marketing and sales initiatives as needed.
