Role Summary
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to take ownership of complex property restoration projects from initial assessment through completion.
This is a senior, hands-on role with accountability for project scope, schedules, budgets, financial performance, customer experience, and overall project delivery. You’ll lead multiple residential and commercial restoration projects, working closely with clients, insurance professionals, trades, and internal teams to keep work moving and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and profitably.
As a senior member of the project team, you’ll be trusted to make sound decisions, anticipate and resolve challenges, manage complex or escalated situations, and provide guidance to others when needed. Success in this role means balancing strong technical and operational knowledge with clear communication, accountability, and a commitment to delivering a high-quality customer experience.

What you’ll be responsible for
- Managing assigned residential and commercial restoration projects involving water, fire, wind, mould, asbestos, and other property losses from initial assessment and planning through repair, completion, and closeout.
- Taking ownership of larger, more complex, or higher-risk losses and establishing clear project direction from the outset.
- Conducting initial site inspections to assess loss conditions, validate project scope and requirements, identify risks or changes, and support effective project planning.
- Conduct day to day business as usual claims
- Reviewing and validating project scopes, estimates, budgets, schedules, documentation, and resource requirements before and throughout the project.
- Maintaining clear visibility into project status, financial performance, risks, and opportunities, and proactively communicating material issues and recommendations to leadership.
- Reviewing restoration and reconstruction estimates for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with project scope, using Xactimate and other applicable estimating or claims-management systems.
- If required, coordinating the resources required to complete work safely and efficiently.
- Conducting regular site visits throughout the project to monitor progress, workmanship, safety, and changing project requirements.
- Reviewing change requirements and ensuring changes to project scope and cost are properly documented, communicated, and approved.
- Monitoring project schedules, costs, productivity, budgets, and gross margins and taking proactive action when projects move off plan.
- Working toward established project and company KPIs while maintaining quality, service, and financial performance.
- Driving timely billing and project closeout by ensuring approved scope changes, costs, and required documentation are accurately captured and communicated
- Maintaining clear and proactive communication and strong working relationships with property owners, insurance adjusters, consultants, property managers, trades, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal team members.
- Managing client expectations and resolving project concerns, changes, delays, and escalated issues professionally.
- Effectively communicating and negotiating project scope, restoration and reconstruction costs, and changes with insurance professionals and other stakeholders as required.
- Identifying project risks early and developing practical solutions to protect quality, timelines, customer experience, and financial performance.
- Ensuring project files contain accurate, complete, and current documentation throughout the lifecycle of the claim.
- Supporting and providing guidance to Project Managers and other team members
- Supporting emergency and large-loss response when required.
- Build and strengthen relationships with adjusters, insurers, property managers, referral partners, and other industry contacts to support long-term partnerships, referrals, and business growth.
What you bring
- 5+ years of progressive project management experience within property restoration, insurance restoration, construction, or a closely related industry, with demonstrated restoration or insurance-repair experience.
- Proven ability to independently manage complex restoration or construction projects from initial assessment through completion.
- In-depth knowledge of residential and/or commercial construction, repair practices, sequencing, and building systems.
- Strong understanding of estimating, project budgeting, cost control, change management, gross margins, and overall project financial performance.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple resources, schedules and competing project priorities.
- Knowledge of insurance claims and restoration processes, including experience working with property owners, adjusters, consultants, and other project stakeholders.
- Working knowledge of Xactimate and/or other restoration estimating and claims-management platforms.
- Confident leadership and communication skills, with the ability to make decisions, provide direction, build relationships, and manage difficult or escalated situations.
- Highly organized and proactive, with sound judgment, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple active projects and priorities.
Nice to have
- Advanced Xactimate estimating experience.
- IICRC certifications or other relevant restoration-industry designations.
- Experience coaching, mentoring, or providing technical guidance to Project Managers or other project team members.
- Established relationships within the insurance, property management, construction, or restoration industries.
Requirements for the role
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in Construction Management, Project Management, Business, or a related field is considered an asset.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites throughout the service area.
- Willingness to participate in the on-call or emergency response schedule as required.
- Willingness to complete required industry training and maintain applicable certifications.
- Ability to attend company, client, and industry events as required.

Pay: $85,000.00-$105,000.00 per year
