MIG Welder – Temp to Perm
About Our Client
Our client is a steel manufacturer in the Brampton area that is looking for 6 welders to train until the new year on the day shift and then move to an ongoing afternoon shift. They have been in business for 30+ years and are growing again.
What You Will Be Doing, as a MIG Welder – Galvanized Steel:
Key responsibilities include
- End of the line finish welds – galvanized steel and mild steel
- preparing metal surfaces
- selecting appropriate filler metals and gases
- setting up and adjusting equipment,
- inspecting welds for defects.
- maintain equipment
- adhere to strict safety protocols
- collaborate with other team members.
- Other duties as assigned.
What You Should Have, as a MIG Welder – Galvanized Steel:
- Minimum of 3 years of production welding experience
- CWB Cert preferred but not required
- Comfortable welding Galvanized Steel
- Attention to detail.
- Good verbal communication
- Able to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Must pass a criminal background check.
- Welding helmet, gloves and welding jacket
- Metatarsal covering CSA certified safety boots (not shoes)
In Return, You Will Receive:
- While training on Days $24.79/hour
- Afternoon shift will be $25.54/hour
- Lots of overtime available
- Paid weekly, every Friday 1 week behind
- Opportunity for permanent hire
- 4% vacation pay – accrued and paid out when you need it
- Access to a Vertical Representative Monday to Friday 8am to 11pm and on weekends
The Shift You Will be Working is:
- Training Monday to Friday 7am to 3pm
- Then ongoing Monday to Friday 3pm to 11pm
