The LP Coordinator supports AHLA’s HR and Safety Services (HRSS) programs by administering our Learning Management System (LMS) (TourismWorks.ca), coordinating learner and subscriber support, and assisting with Elevate Hotel HR & Safety Program delivery, reporting, and workforce partnership projects.

Key Responsibilities of the Learning & Program Coordinator
LMS Administration & Support (30%)
- Administer and maintain TourismWorks.ca for member hotels, safety subscribers, and other approved users, including user management, account setup, password resets, and troubleshooting.
- Support training team manager onboarding, subscription purchases, and renewals.
- Generate subscription renewal invoices in the membership database.
- Provide proactive check-ins and support to help subscribers realize the full value of their training subscriptions.
- Troubleshoot technical issues as required.
LMS Content & Course Management (15%)
- Design, develop, and publish e-learning modules using Articulate 360 or similar tools.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and the HRSS team to review and update course content so it remains current, accessible, and aligned with AHLA standards.
- Work with internal teams and external designers to ensure TourismWorks.ca pages, courses, certificates, and communications reflect AHLA’s brand standards and visual identity.
- Support the creation and branding of Extended Enterprise instances in TourismWorks.ca for approved clients or partner organizations.
LMS Reporting & Analytics (5%)
- Monitor TourismWorks.ca usage, learner engagement, and course completion data.
- Prepare reporting for internal teams and key stakeholders, including the HRSS Team, Leadership Team, HR Advisory Council, Board of Directors, CHLA, and THRC.
Elevate Program Administration & Support (30%)
- Administer the Elevate Hotel HR & Safety Program for member hotels, including user management, account setup, TourismWorks.ca invoicing, scorecard setup, and troubleshooting.
- Coordinate member communications, tracking, and follow-up to support timely completion of program requirements.
- Support scorecard reviews by gathering information, maintaining records, and preparing materials for review by the HRSS team.
- Identify opportunities to improve program administration, member support, and internal workflows.
Workforce Partnership Project Support (20%)
- Coordinate project focus groups, meetings, pilots, and related logistics.
- Research existing hospitality leadership education and training programs to inform project planning and recommendations.
- Draft environmental scan and gap analysis materials for review by the HRSS team and project partners.
- Track project activities, timelines, and follow-up items to support successful delivery.
Qualifications
- Education: Diploma or degree in instructional design, educational technology, human resources, business administration, or a related field.
- Experience: 1–2 years of experience managing or supporting an LMS platform is an asset; experience in hospitality, training administration, or member/client support is an asset.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with LMS platforms such as Docebo, e-learning tools such as Articulate 360, design tools such as Canva, databases, and reporting tools such as Power BI and Excel.
- Branding & Design: Experience maintaining branded digital assets and templates, with familiarity with visual identity standards.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a professional, service-oriented approach to supporting members, subscribers, partners, and internal teams.
- Organization: Ability to manage multiple requests, prioritize tasks, maintain accurate records, and work both independently and collaboratively.
Location and Office Hours
This is a permanent, full-time position. The AHLA is in the Ellwood district of Southeast Edmonton with free parking. Its standard business hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm, with flexibility. This position is an in-person, office role.
Compensation
- Salary range of $55,000 - $60,000 based on experience and qualifications
