We are seeking dependable, safety-focused, and customer-oriented drivers to join our growing transportation team. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate company vehicles to transport freight across Canada and the United States
- Complete deliveries and pickups to customer locations within Canada and the United States in a safe, timely, and professional manner
- Operate tractor-trailer, flatbed, dry van, reefer or straight truck equipment in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements
- Secure freight using appropriate equipment such as straps, chains, and load bars, ensuring compliance with load-securement standards
- Transport general freight in accordance with safety and regulatory guidelines
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections of the vehicle, including checking tires, brakes, lights, and cargo securement; promptly report any issues to the maintenance department for timely repairs.
- Accurately complete all required documentation, including e-logs, inspection reports, delivery paperwork, and incident reports
- Maintain compliance with hours-of-service regulations, safety policies, and company procedures
- Maintain flexibility to meet operational and customer demands, including variable schedules, overtime, weekends, or overnight runs as required
Core Requirements
- Valid Class 1 driver's license
- FAST Card required for Cross Border
- Bondable and legally eligible to work in Canada
- Clean CVOR and driver’s abstract
- Verifiable recent commercial driving experience
- Strong understanding of road safety regulations, hours of service, and load securement
- Experience operating commercial vehicles in winter driving conditions
- Ability to accurately complete eLogs, vehicle inspection reports, and delivery documentation
- Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs as required
- Strong customer service and communication skills with a professional, safety-focused approach
- Minimum 1 year of verifiable Class 1 driving experience
- Strong knowledge of Vancouer and surrounding areas
- Previous experience operating specialized equipment, including tailgates, forklifts, power and manual pallet jacks, pump trucks, or Moffett's
- Ability to safely perform hand-bombing, including manual loading and unloading of freight, as required
