Taylor View Towers is a vibrant seniors’ living community in north-central Red Deer, serving over 300 residents through a person-directed care model rooted in the Eden Alternative philosophy. Our mission is to provide an enriching living experience by delivering compassionate care and fostering meaningful connections.

As a Prep Cook at Taylor View Towers, we seek the following skills and attributes:

Previous experience in food preparation or a related role
Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food safety practices
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team As a Prep Cook, you will play a vital role in our kitchen operations. You will assist the chef in preparing ingredients, following recipes, and ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality and freshness. Your attention to detail, ability to work efficiently, and commitment to food safety will contribute to the success of our kitchen team.
You are an exceptional patient team player! One who takes pride in the relationships they build and being able to positively motivate and mentor fellow team members
Flexible, ability to prioritize and re-adjust routines, open to change for the benefit of the community
Strong organizational, communication, and time and resource management skills
Committed to Person Directed Care, Eden Alternative Philosophy, and the Domains of Well-Being
Strives to attain excellence in Resident, family member and employee care partner satisfaction

Maintaining records required by the Community, required auditors, and funders as required

Qualifications:

Obtain prior to employment, a clear criminal record check with vulnerable sector check
