35 Hours/week (Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm)
Salary:
$26.20 to $37.62 per hour ($47,684.00 to $68,468.40 per annum)

MINIMUM FORMAL EDUCATION/TRAINING:
- Masters of Science (M.Sc.) in a related area of study is required.
- An acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
EXPERIENCE:
- Advanced data management and analysis skills are required.
- Experience with use of modelling techniques (HYDRUS and other hydrological models, PEST) is required.
- Soil Physics background required.
- Soil sampling and field data collection and management experience is required.
- Laboratory experience required.
- Soil moisture and temperature sensor installation and management experience required.
- Weather station installation and management experience required.
- Remote sensing experience required.
- Experience using SAS for data management and analysis is required.
- Experience with computer language (Python) for data management and analysis is required.
- Experimental and treatment design experience required.
- Experience with farmer relations required.
- Experience with environmental risk assessment is required.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Set up field and laboratory research experiments
- Develop experimental and treatment design
- Develop sampling design
- Develop sampling protocol
- Set up field plots and instrumentation
- Set up laboratory experiments and instrumentation
Supervise and train students (undergraduate and graduate students) on research methods
- Conduct training sessions for undergraduate research assistants and new graduate students on research and sampling protocols
Support data collection and analysis
- Provide support to research team on field and laboratory data collection
Manage and Analyze data
- Manage and analyze data
- Develop statistical and modelling tools
Develop manuscripts and reports
- Develop manuscript and reports
- Other duties as assigned.
