Our core business hours are from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday (may vary depending on the role). This role is ideal for someone eager to optimize data processes, collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the accuracy, reliability, and scalability of critical data and billing operations.
DATA ANALYST
General Description:
Under the general direction of the CEO, the Data Analyst brings a strong foundation in data management and a passion for optimizing and automating data processes. This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and quality of information as it flows from sub-metering devices to centralized systems.
The Data Analyst supports mission-critical processes across Billing, Finance, and DevOps and plays a key role in understanding, maintaining, and enhancing internal data workflows. Responsibilities include analyzing existing processes, identifying opportunities for improvement and automation, and implementing solutions that increase efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
As a key member of the team, the Data Analyst contributes to the accurate and timely delivery of data to downstream systems, supporting operational excellence and informed business decision-making.
Characteristics, Features, Requirements:
This is a full-time position for a seasoned data professional with expertise in advanced analytics, SQL automation, and cross-functional collaboration with internal stakeholders. Proficiency in SQL, Python, C#, Excel, and Power BI, coupled with a solid grasp of statistical methods and data management is essential. You must have the ability to work independently to perform all tasks found within each of the primary work responsibilities described below – Important and Essential Duties. Critical to these responsibilities, is the requirement to complete assigned tasks accurately and on time.
Reporting:
The Data Analyst reports directly to the Manager of Data Operations; who will assign, monitor and review performance goals and objectives and weekly work schedules.
Important and Essential Duties:
The duties of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Data Analyst Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain ETL pipelines to extract data from multiple sources, transform it into required formats, and load it into target systems;
- Implement and optimize workflow automation using tools such as Apache Airflow to improve scalability, reliability, and reduce manual processes;
- Develop and support data analysis frameworks that enable business decision-making and align with organizational objectives;
- Oversee data collection, processing, and analysis to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights;
- Partner with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into data solutions and deliver meaningful analytics outputs;
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security by applying best practices in data governance and quality assurance;
- Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to senior stakeholders through reports, dashboards, and presentations;
- Stay current with emerging data engineering and analytics tools, techniques, and industry best practices.
Experience/Knowledge/Ability
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to tackle complex data challenges;
- Strong proficiency in tools like SQL, C#, Python, Excel (Microsoft Office) and data visualization software such as Power BI;
- Solid understanding of statistical methods (standard deviation, regression analysis, etc.) and their application in data analysis;
- Knowledge of data warehousing, data modeling and data governance practices;
- Commitment to staying updated with the latest trends and advancements in data analysis and technology;
- In-depth understanding of the submetering industry to provide relevant and impactful insights;
- Proven experience working effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals;
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manager multiple priorities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field;
- Relevant certifications are considered an asset (e.g., Google Data Analytics Certificate, Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate) but are not required.
Working Conditions
- Office environment using computer for programming and development;
- On occasion, may be required to work evenings or weekends to meet department deadlines;
- On occasion, may be required to travel to client’s sites;

The posted salary range reflects the potential earning span for this role. Starting salary is determined based on factors such as relevant experience, education, training, skills, certifications, and overall alignment with the position. Internal pay equity and market compensation data may also be considered. Final salary varies based on several considerations, and starting offers are usually below the top of the posted range.
