Join our Team:
We are seeking a highly engaged, energetic, organized and detail-oriented Field Supervisor to join our team to work on our client’s mine sites in BC and the Yukon. The successful candidate will support the Project Manager with the day-to-day management of the crushing operations with a goal of completing projects on time, within budget constraints and to high quality standards. This position will provide strong leadership in all aspects of the work in accordance with all company and industry regulatory health, safety & environmental standards & procedures. This is a cross shift position on a rotational basis.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Develop full understanding of the crushing operations and coordinate activities with other departments & divisions;
- Work with and assist crews with daily operations;
- Assist Project Managers with project reports;
- Regularly communicate with client’s onsite operations team and provide regular updates;
- Ensure daily reporting is being performed and submitted to the appropriate stakeholders;
- Ensure time entry is completed daily for self and crew;
- Utilize and promote Kode’s app-based software for safety, equipment, and production management;
- Ensure Compliance with all OH&S Regulations, Kode's Safety Policy, other internal policies and safety directives are adhered to;
- Perform regular audits and inspections to ensure safety standards and quality are being maintained and correct any errors or problems that are observed;
- Complete daily, weekly, and monthly safety required paperwork, toolbox talks and safety meetings;
- Conduct incident investigations and recommend corrective actions as necessary;
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly work plans for the crew (including safety, production, and maintenance);
- Ensure daily, weekly, and monthly equipment inspections are being performed properly by crew as per manufacturer's recommendations;
- Oversee onsite crew maintenance to ensure compliance with manufacturer’s recommendations;
- Ensure compliance with Kode’s Preventative Maintenance and Inventory Management programs;
- Manage site inventories and ensure all necessary parts required to complete the service job are ready and available for work;
- Assist Project Manager and Human Resources with onsite personnel resource requirements;
- Provide employees with onsite training and guidance through the interpretation and communication of safe work procedures and company policies;
- Provide employees with ongoing training and guidance for all Kode programs;
- Review job performance with employees and take steps to remedy and job performance issues
- Conduct competency review of operators onsite as directed and conduct training and complete documentation.
- Other tasks and special projects as assigned by the direct supervisor.
Experience & Technical Competency
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED equivalent;
- Previous crushing experience required;
- Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in a supervisory role;
- Post secondary educational background in mining would be considered a strong asset;
- Proven safety record with a clear understanding of OH&S requirements;
- Experience in the implementation of safety and quality management in a field setting;
- Leadership of Safety Excellence (LSE) and/or Mine Supervisor Certificate (BC) and/or First Line Supervisor (Yukon) are considered an asset. Training will be provide needed.
- Electrical/Heavy Duty/ welding skills, an asset;
- Class 5 Drivers License and Clean Drivers abstract;
- Ability to pass a Drug and Alcohol Test;
- Physically fit to work.

- Must have strong computer skills and experience, M/S Office, and Project management information systems experience and aptitude essential;
- Ability to work independently.
Working Conditions
- Working in remote locations for extended periods of time.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40.00-$45.00 per hour
Experience:
- Supervising: 5 years (preferred)
- Crushing: 3 years (preferred)
