Position: Impact Product Development Intern
Reports to: Director, Impact Product Development
Position Term: Part-time Temporary (3-month contract)
Primary Location: Mississauga, Ontario, Canada

Job Purpose
The Impact Product Development Intern will support the Product team in enhancing the quality and reliability of data and analytics products used to evaluate programs and generate impact insights. This internship offers hands-on experience in quality assurance, data validation, and analytics development within an Agile product environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct QA checks on datasets, dashboards, and reports to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Assist in validating data pipelines and transformations using SQL and/or Python.
- Support the development and testing of analytics tools and dashboards.
- Document QA processes and contribute to reusable templates and checklists.
- Review raw data and consultant/field reports for completeness and alignment with product goals.
- Participate in sprint reviews and retrospectives to identify and address QA and analytics issues.
- Collaborate with analysts and developers to troubleshoot data anomalies and reporting errors.
- Contribute to internal efficiency improvements through QA automation or process optimization.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree in data science, statistics, computer science, or a related field.
- Familiarity with SQL and basic Python or R for data manipulation.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data integrity.
- Foundational understanding of data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Excel).
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
- Interest in international development or impact measurement is an asset.

This is a current vacancy that we are actively recruiting for. The salary range represents the expected compensation for this role and is provided in accordance with Ontario’s pay transparency requirements under the Employment Standards Act.
