Job Summary:
To architect and lead the modernization of the technical supply chain. The Senior Manager, Strategic Supply Chain & Procurement will transition the department from reactive, tactical firefighting to a proactive, automated, and financially driven operation. The Senior Manager will act as the strategic "Control Tower" for all materials, leveraging digital ecosystems, AI, and advanced financial modeling to protect working capital and ensure maximum fleet availability.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Strategic Mandates & Responsibilities:
-
Supply Chain Automation (Aeroxchange/AMOS Integration): Champion the digital transformation of the repair cycle by integrating Aeroxchange (AeroRepair) directly via API into the AMOS environment. Eliminate manual data entry and provide real-time visibility to the AOG and Logistics teams.
-
AI-Assisted Quote Management: Deploy AI and automated logic to ingest, review, and cross-reference vendor repair quotes against historical data. Fast-track routine approvals and isolate pricing anomalies to drastically reduce administrative bottlenecks.
-
Strategic Financial Structuring (Fixed-Cost & PBH): Transition the vendor base away from unpredictable Time & Material (T&M) models. Negotiate and enforce strategic Fixed-Cost, Flat-Rate, and Power-by-the-Hour (PBH) repair agreements to stabilize maintenance costs. Leverage these simplified billing models to clear Accounts Payable bottlenecks, ensuring timely supplier payments to rebuild vendor trust and secure priority service status.
-
Asset Monetization: Architect a Surplus Liquidation Strategy to identify, value, and broker the sale of obsolete or non-moving "dead stock" to the secondary market, immediately injecting liquid capital back into the airline.
-
Predictive Procurement: Fundamentally improve the forecasting accuracy within the ERP (AMOS). Utilize fleet health data to pre-position parts and buffer stock before critical components fail.
Executive KPIs (Measuring the ROI of the Role):
-
Automation Adoption: Percentage of repair orders and vendor ETAs processed via automated API vs. manual entry.
-
On-Time Payment Compliance: Percentage of vendor invoices processed and cleared within negotiated terms (e.g., Net 30), utilizing simplified flat-rate billing to eliminate late-payment friction and restore Tier-1 vendor relationships.
-
Cycle Time Reduction: Decrease in quote approval times driven by AI integration and the transition to fixed-cost contracts.
-
Surplus Revenue Generation: Total liquid capital recovered annually through the strategic sale of obsolete or excess inventory.
-
ERP Forecast Accuracy: Measurable improvement in AMOS demand forecasting, directly reducing the volume of redundant inventory requests and unpredicted stock-outs.
Behavioural Competencies:
Concern for Safety: Identifying hazardous or potentially hazardous situations and taking appropriate action to maintain a safe environment for self and others.
Teamwork: Working collaboratively with others to achieve organizational goals.
Passenger/Customer Service: Providing service excellence to internal and/or external customers (passengers).
Initiative: Dealing with situations and issues proactively and persistently, seizing opportunities that arise.
Results Focus: Focusing efforts on achieving high quality results consistent with the organization’s standards.
Fostering Communication: Listening and communicating openly, honestly, and respectfully with different audiences, promoting dialogue and building consensus.
Exemplifying Integrity: Treating others fairly, honestly, and respectfully, furthering the integrity of the organization and its relationships of trust with team members and the broader community.
Inspiring Others: Energizing and inspiring others to strive for excellence and commit to common goals and purposes, creating a sense of self-efficacy, resilience, and persistence in followers.
People Leadership: Assuming a leadership role in helping others achieve excellent results.
Leading Change: Recognizing the need for change, being open to new ideas and methods, and championing transformational change within the organization and beyond.
