Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Pastry Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in baking and pastry arts, with the ability to create visually stunning and delicious desserts. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary skills in a dynamic food industry environment, delivering exceptional customer experiences through innovative pastry creations.

Duties

Prepare a variety of baked goods, including cakes, pastries, tarts, and confections with precision and creativity
Decorate cakes and desserts using advanced cake decorating techniques to meet presentation standards
Ensure all food preparation adheres to food safety and handling regulations
Assist in food presentation and packaging for dine-in, takeout, or catering orders
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry kitchen, including equipment and workstations
Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new dessert recipes and seasonal offerings
Provide excellent customer service by explaining menu items and accommodating special dietary requests when necessary
Follow all kitchen safety protocols and proper food handling procedures at all times

Experience

Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role in a restaurant or bakery setting
Strong skills in cake decorating, baking, and food presentation
Experience with food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations within the food industry
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling practices
Familiarity with packaging techniques for desserts and baked goods
Prior experience working in a fast-paced environment with excellent customer service skills is preferred
Ability to work creatively under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards
