Training Development Lead
We are presently seeking an innovative and detailed-oriented individual to join our team to support the Land Vehicle Crew Training System (LVCTS) project, pending contract award. The LVCTS project will deliver advanced simulation and training solutions to the Canadian Army (CA) at five sites across Canada: Edmonton, Alberta; Shilo, Manitoba; Petawawa, Ontario; Valcartier, Quebec; and Gagetown, New Brunswick.
As the Training Development Lead, you will be responsible for leading a team of training professionals to ensure the successful planning, execution and reporting of all work scope within the LVCTS Training Development domain for the project.
Responsibilities:

Lead a team of training processionals to ensure on-time delivery of all customer deliverables (storyboards, scenarios, training documents, etc.) in accordance with the Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs) and Data Item Descriptions (DIDs) for the contract.

Prepare the LVCTS Training Management Plan and incorporate customer feedback.

Prepare and host Training Program Mandated System Reviews including: the Training Program System Requirements Review (SRR), the Training Program Preliminary Design Review (PDR) and the Training Program Critical Design Review (CDR).

Host the Training Development Working Group where Canada's SMEs will provide guidance and advice in support of Training Deliverables.

Establish and host two sub-working groups for (1) Courseware Development, and (2) Scenario Development.

Develop the LVCTS training program including Training Needs/Media Analysis, Acceptance and Verification processes.

Develop a Scenario Acceptance Process and incorporate customer feedback.

Develop and deliver the LVCTS Instructor, EXCON and other courses to all applicable customer personnel

Identify technical issues, troubleshoot problems, and implement effective solutions.

Ensure adherence to all corporate policies, relevant safety codes, industry regulations, and all applicable legal aspects. Ensure team members comply with Raytheon Environmental, Health and Safety program and are equipped with the information, instruction, training and supervision required to perform their work safely.

Act as a mentor and coach, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Engineering or Education (or equivalent in training and experience).

Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in project management, engineering, or training development, preferably in the defence or aerospace sector.

Strong expertise in project management, particularly in cost control, scheduling, technical performance and reporting.

Exceptional leadership, decision-making and communication skills to balance varying priorities and drive program success.

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Teams, Excel, Project, and SharePoint.

Experience using Requirements Management Tools such as DOORS.

Knowledge of modeling and simulation applications and architectures for large scale training.

Experience in managing training development projects within the defence or aerospace sector is strongly preferred.

Familiarity with Department of National Defence/Public Services and Procurement Canada is an asset.

Willingness and ability to travel occasionally to support business needs, supplier engagement or program activities.

Bilingual (French & English) is highly desirable.
The successful candidate will be required to complete a criminal background check and obtain/maintain a Government of Canada security clearance and any applicable clearances with respect to the handling and transfer of controlled goods.
This position is eligible for consideration of a hybrid work arrangement with set onsite days.
