About the Role
Service Technicians (310T, 421A, 425A, 310S) Journeyman, or Red Seal. You will play a critical role in keeping specialized utility trucks and equipment safe, reliable, and ready for the field. This is a hands-on role where you will inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain utility trucks, aerial devices, cranes, and other vocational equipment used by essential industries across North America.
What You’ll Do

Diagnose, service, and repair utility trucks, aerial devices, cranes, and related equipment

Perform preventive maintenance and safety inspections

Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems

Repair truck chassis, PTO systems, aerial lifts, booms, and attachments
-
Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and manufacturer specifications
-
Use diagnostic tools and software (e.g., Cummins INSITE, DTNA, or similar)

Perform component rebuilds (gearboxes, cylinders, outriggers, etc.)

Conduct inspections, testing, and quality checks after repairs
-
Complete accurate service documentation and work orders
-
Ensure all work meets safety and quality standards (CSA, ANSI, dielectric testing where applicable)

Collaborate with team members in a professional shop environment

Participate in safety meetings and maintain a safe workplace

Qualifications
-
Ontario Certificate of Qualification (preferred):
-
310T – Truck and Coach Technician
-
421A – Heavy Equipment Technician
-
425A – Agricultural Equipment Technician
-
310S – Automotive Service Technician
-
Strong experience with hydraulic and electrical diagnostics
-
Welding and fabrication experience is an asset
-
Experience with OEM diagnostic software preferred
-
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
-
High school diploma or equivalent
-
Valid Ontario Class G Driver’s License (clean abstract preferred)
