Interface Network IT Inc. is an Ontario-based low-voltage contractor supporting commercial, retail, industrial, multi-site, and technology deployment projects throughout Ontario.
As our workload continues to grow, we are seeking experienced, self-sufficient technicians who can professionally represent our company in the field and deliver high-quality installations and service work with minimal supervision.
This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for technicians who are comfortable working independently, troubleshooting issues on-site, communicating with customers, and completing projects safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
Install, service, troubleshoot, and maintain CCTV systems, IP cameras, NVRs, DVRs, and related equipment
Install and service access control systems including card readers, door hardware, request-to-exit devices, maglocks, strikes, and associated infrastructure
Install, terminate, test, and certify structured cabling systems including Cat5e, Cat6, and fiber optic cabling
Perform cable routing in commercial, retail, industrial, and multi-unit environments
Read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, site drawings, and scope-of-work documentation
Install network equipment including switches, routers, wireless access points, and supporting hardware
Complete service calls, maintenance visits, and project-based installations
Diagnose technical issues and provide effective solutions in the field
Document completed work and communicate project status clearly and professionally
Travel throughout Ontario as required for projects and service work
Work safely while maintaining a professional appearance and attitude on customer sites
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of experience in low-voltage, security, structured cabling, telecommunications, or related industries
Strong knowledge of CCTV systems, IP cameras, NVRs, and security infrastructure
Experience with access control installations and troubleshooting
Experience terminating and testing structured cabling systems
Ability to read and understand blueprints, site plans, and technical documentation
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Comfortable working independently and making decisions in the field
Professional communication and customer service skills
Ability to manage time effectively and work with minimal supervision
Physically capable of lifting equipment, climbing ladders, and working in active construction and commercial environments
Requirements
Valid Ontario Driver’s License with a clean driving record
Reliable vehicle
Own basic hand tools required to perform low-voltage installations and service work
Smartphone with email and internet access
Ability to travel throughout Ontario and occasionally stay overnight for project work when required
Ability to pass background screening if required by customer sites

Working at Heights Certification
Lift Certification
Fiber optic experience
Experience with commercial security systems
Experience with retail technology deployments
Experience with multi-site rollout projects
Knowledge of networking fundamentals
Experience working in occupied commercial or retail environments
