About the role:
The Betr team is seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer to join their team. The primary focus of this role will be contributing to the development and expansion of our current Laravel-based betting platform, utilizing your strong PHP skills. Additionally, this role will involve working with Python on various internal tools.
You will be working alongside a team of experienced PHP developers who are responsible for handling the core business functions of Betr's gambling application. We are also looking for candidates with an interest in DevOps, who are passionate about improving deployment pipelines and infrastructure. Build amazing consumer experiences, taking responsibility for code quality, scalability, reliability and performance

Work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications

Excel in working in a collaborative team environment (5+ developers) on a large-scale PHP/Laravel codebase

7+ years of professional backend development experience

Expert-level proficiency in PHP and deep experience with the Laravel framework
