Position Summary:
The Systems, Security & Automation Specialist is responsible for supporting, securing, and continuously improving Vanier’s digital environment. This role combines advanced digital support, systems administration, cybersecurity implementation, and automation within a healthcare-focused digital transformation environment.
The successful candidate will provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 digital support while also owning system configurations, implementing security controls, automating operational processes, and supporting digital transformation initiatives across the organization.
Education/Training/Experience:
- Four-year bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer Science, cybersecurity, or related field.
- 5 years’ experience in digital support and systems administration, cloud infrastructure environments and Microsoft 365 administration.
- Strong experience managing Microsoft 365, Azure AD/Entra ID and Microsoft Intune.
- Hands-on PowerShell scripting experience (required).
- Experience implementing device management and security policies.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience supporting users within structured or regulated environments preferred.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Security Operations Analyst Associate, Cybersecurity Architect Expert.
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert.
- AWS, Azure, Terraform, scripting (PowerShell/Python).

- User Support- Respond to and resolve user issues.
- Device Support- Prepare and deploy laptops, desktops, and shared devices.
- User Onboarding & Offboarding- Support onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Service Management- Log, track, and document incidents and requests.
- Systems & Infrastructure Support- Troubleshoot and resolve advanced issues (Microsoft 365, Azure AD / Entra ID).
- Security & Access Support- Support remediation of security vulnerabilities, policy compliance issues and access control inconsistencies.
- Advanced Technical Troubleshooting.
- Workflow & Automation Support- Support workflow optimization across Microsoft 365 and integrated systems.
- Documentation & Standards- Maintain detailed technical documentation.
- Systems Administration & Digital Environment Management- Administer and maintain Microsoft 365, Azure AD / Entra ID, Microsoft Intune, SharePoint and Endpoint environments.
- Cybersecurity & Compliance- support cybersecurity controls.
- Automation & Process Improvement- Develop and maintain automation scripts.
- Technical Project Delivery- Support implementation of digital transformation initiatives.
