At CLGW, we take pride in the work that we do. You will be joining a team of dedicated and experienced professionals, who truly make a difference in the lives of others. Together, we provide support for over 900 people who have a developmental disability, and who live, work and play in Guelph and Wellington County.
As a Direct Support Professional, you’ll play a vital role in someone’s everyday life. You’ll be a trusted support, advocate, and ally—helping individuals build independence, pursue their goals, and experience a sense of belonging.
You will support adults with developmental and/or physical disabilities, who may also experience emotional or mental health challenges.

Promote inclusion, independence, and self-determination

Support individuals to identify and achieve personal goals and dreams

Assist with daily living activities, including:
-
Cooking and cleaning
-
Medication administration
-
Personal care
-
Lifts and transfers when required
-
Standing, walking, or sitting for extended periods
Work collaboratively with teams, families, and community partners

Complete documentation accurately and on time
Required:
Assets (Nice to Have):

Experience supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities
-
Experience with behavioural supports, autism, dual diagnosis, or mental health
-
Medication administration experience
