- Controller Proficiency: In-depth working knowledge of high-end Mitsubishi controllers and Fanuc controls. Applicants must be comfortable with complex programming, parameter adjustments, and troubleshooting on these systems.
- Multi-Axis Expertise: Ability to program and set up complex 7-axis turning operations and full 5-axis milling processes.
- Metrology: Expert-level proficiency with CMM systems (optical, laser, and touch probe) for first-article and in-process inspection. Experience with Keyence CMM systems is a significant asset.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 5+ years of dedicated CNC setup and programming experience in a high-precision, low-to-medium volume production environment.
- Technical Literacy: Advanced blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation. Ability to program directly at the machine or via CAM software.
- Machining Fundamentals: Deep understanding of feeds, speeds, and cutting tool fundamentals.
- Setup & Quality: Proven ability to independently set up jobs, achieve first-off approval, and maintain consistent quality during extended production runs.
- Tools: Proficiency with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.).
- Professionalism: Strong problem-solving aptitude, mechanical maturity, reliable attendance, and a strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- Automotive, aerospace, or high-precision manufacturing background.
