We’re currently seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to join our demolition team. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain valuable experience within the industry, while working with people who care about your development and success.
What You’ll Do
As a Site Supervisor/PM, you'll support various demolition projects, from start to finish.
As an Estimator, you'll support the full project lifecycle - from bid to demo.
Key tasks include:
- Assisting with the review of tender documents, drawings, and specs to understand project scope
- Supporting cost estimating and proposal prep under the guidance of senior staff
- Tracking job progress, maintaining cost records, and managing timesheet data
- Assisting with pricing change orders and identifying cost adjustments
- Collaborating with Project Managers and Site Supervisors to help keep projects on time and within budget
- Prospecting for new clients
As a Project Manager, Key tasks include:
- Monitor and supervise demolition staff on a daily basis
- Accountability for projects until completion, while meeting all customer specifications and set goals
- Responsible for completion of all site paperwork, such as daily task logs, timesheets, and time & material logs
- Create an overall positive and safe work environment for crew members
- Ensure workers are wearing proper PPE and are adhering to all safety measures
- Communicate with the office regarding unforeseen events, additional customer requests and/or any worker-related issues
- Lead from the front as a hands-on foreman, actively participating in interior/exterior scopes of work in residential, commercial and industrial sites.
- Execute and oversee selective demolition scopes such as removal of walls, ceilings, flooring systems, drywall, insulation, mechanical/electrical components, fixtures, concrete cutting, floor grinding, etc.
- Ensure all work is completed in full compliance with health and safety legislation, company policies, and client-specific H&S requirements. Plan and lead effective daily toolbox talks to organize meetings and weekly safety meetings.
- Read and interpret drawings, demolition scopes, and project specifications to execute precise selective demolition.
- Manage waste handling, material segregation, recycling, and bin logistics.
- Collect and report daily production data, site conditions, delays, and progress updates to the Operations Manager or Owner.
- Ensure projects are executed efficiently at or under budget by managing labour, equipment, and material usage.
- Supervise crews and subcontractors daily, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and schedule requirements.
- Maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free job sites, including end-of-day cleanup.
- Act as the main onsite contact for clients, addressing concerns and ensuring deliverables are met.
What We're Looking For
- Must have knowledge of the demolition/construction industry and possess at least 3-5 years experience as a site supervisor
- Proven experience in task delegation and the management/co-ordination of crew members at various sites
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Must have a valid class G driver’s licence and the ability to drive a pickup truck pulling a trailer
- Certified in working at heights and experience operating scissor lifts and other construction machines and equipment
- Ability to operate hand tools and machinery safely & efficiently
