Full job description

This is a Full-Time Sub Contractor position for TELUS installer/repair technician compensated by a flat rate with uncapped income. This is a rewarding career where you will be working alone in customer’s home with no managers breathing down your neck and there is never a boring day!

We are looking for self-motivated and tech-savvy individuals with excellent communication and customer service skills. Telecommunications or related experience is an asset; however, we will train the right candidate with no experience in this field. The role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining telecommunications equipment and services for Telecom customers. Additionally, the Field Technician will be expected to provide excellent customer service and work independently while adhering to safety regulations and standards.

WILL HELP IN PERMANENT RESIDENCY IF REQUIRED

Requirement - NEED TO GET OWN WHITE MINI VAN/ VAN OR SUV WITH LADDER RACK ON IT AND TOOLS.

Responsibilities:

Install and repair TELUS Home Services (Home phone, internet, IPTV, and Smart Home Security) .
Trace, install, and terminate telephone wiring, data wiring (cat 5e and cat 6), coaxial wiring and fiber optics wiring.
Promote and sell TELUS products (commission available)
Explain/discuss details regarding progress, issues, and applicable charges.
Meet company quality standards and key performance metrics.
Complete administration responsibilities accurately and timely
Gather supplies and equipment from designated warehouse.

Qualifications

Prior experience in telecommunications or a related field
Previous experience with TELUS or Shaw is an asset
Familiarity with telecommunications equipment and systems
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Excellent customer service skills and ability to work independently
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Availability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work at heights up to 30 feet
Certification or training in safety regulations and standards is a plus
Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or open work visa
