Ironworkers Journeyman & Apprentices

To work at our Solar Project near K+S Cogen Potash Mine — Regina, Saskatchewan

Requirements:

Must have a valid Journeyperson or Apprenticeship Ironworkers ticket from a recognized provincial training authority
Must have experience working at heights
Must be willing to attend safety training (paid by WorleyCord): CSTS, H2S, WHMIS2015, EWP, Fall Protection, Confined Space
Must have demonstrated ability to work under minimal supervision
Strong communication skills written and verbal
Work will be primarily outdoors in various weather conditions

Responsibilities:

Install and erect structural steel, racking systems, and pre-engineered components for utility-scale solar farm facilities
Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications to determine layout, sequencing, and installation requirements
Position, align, and secure steel and aluminum components, including solar racking and support structures
Insert temporary and permanent fasteners, torque bolts to specification using hand and torque wrenches, and verify alignment and plumb
Perform rigging activities, including attaching loads to cranes and directing crane operators using hand signals and/or radio communication
Safely unload, stage, and organize materials so components can be efficiently hoisted and installed
Operate grinders and other hand tools safely and in accordance with site-specific safe work practices
Identify correct lift points and apply proper rigging techniques during hoisting activities
Work efficiently in a fast-paced, construction environment with a strong focus on safety and quality
Perform additional duties as assigned in support of solar project construction

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.70-$51.00 per hour
