Ward Tire is expanding our Heavy-Duty Truck & Trailer Division and is looking for an experienced Trailer Welder / Repair Technician to join our growing team.
We're looking for someone who understands commercial trailers—someone who has experience repairing, rebuilding, modifying, and fabricating components on highway trailers, tank trailers, flat decks, gravel trailers, and vocational equipment.

What You'll Do
- Perform structural repairs on commercial trailers
- MIG and TIG weld steel, aluminum, and stainless steel components
- Fabricate replacement parts and repair damaged trailer structures
- Repair crossmembers, frame rails, suspension hangers, landing gear supports and structural cracks
- Complete trailer modifications and custom fabrication projects
- Repair and reinforce tank trailers, pressure vessels and specialized equipment
- Assist with complete trailer rebuilds and refurbishments
- Read blueprints, drawings and repair procedures
- Operate plasma cutters, ironworkers, presses, torches and fabrication equipment
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 3 years of commercial trailer repair or heavy-duty welding experience
- Strong MIG and TIG welding skills
- Experience welding steel, aluminum and stainless steel
- Ability to fabricate components from raw material
- Experience repairing highway trailers, tank trailers or heavy-duty equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
Preferred Qualifications
- B Pressure Welder Certification (considered a major asset)
- Experience repairing tank trailers or pressure vessels
- CWB Welding Certification
- Experience with suspension, brake or frame repairs
- Journeyman Welder - Alberta Red Seal is required
- Forklift and overhead crane experience
- Heavy Duty Mechanic experience is an asset
- CVIP inspection experience is an asset
