Title: EMR Project Manager, eHealth
Salary: $102,397 - $114,444 - $138,538 per year (pay range explained below)
Contract: Term contract until March 2028
Hours: 8:30am-4:30pm Mon- Fri (core hours 9am-3pm Mon-Fri)
Location: Metro Vancouver office – Alberni office, on the ancestral Coast Salish Territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations. Hybrid working in line with FNHA’s flex work policy. (Remote option is available if outside above region)
About the role
As the eHealth EMR Project Manager, you will lead the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) Project through its final implementations and Deployment to Operations (DTO) phase for First Nations primary care clinics and community health centers. This role’s focus is on ensuring the successful transition of the EMR solution from project delivery into sustainable business-as-usual operations by establishing operational readiness, governance, support processes, performance reporting, and long-term service management frameworks.
Working within a complex multi-stakeholder environment, you will collaborate with clinical, operational, technical, vendor, and executive partners to manage all aspects of the DTO phase and the project's planned closure over the next 20 months. Responsibilities include coordinating operational transition activities, developing operational metrics and reporting, maintaining project documentation and records, establishing/supporting audit and compliance requirements, supporting standard operating procedures (SOPs), preparing executive and program reports, and ensuring project deliverables are effectively transitioned, documented, and positioned for ongoing operational success.
The successful candidate will bring strong project management expertise combined with advanced analytical and reporting capabilities. You will be comfortable working with developing datasets, developing performance dashboards, monitoring operational metrics, and providing meaningful insights to support informed decision-making and continuous improvement.
This role requires a collaborative and experienced project leader who can successfully balance operational transition activities with project closure responsibilities, ensuring accountability, transparency, effective governance, and the realization of project benefits. It offers an opportunity to lead a significant digital health initiative through its final phase, establishing the processes, reporting, and operational foundations needed to support long-term sustainability and deliver lasting value for First Nations communities and healthcare providers.
About you
To be successful in this role you will have/be;
Education

A Bachelor’s degree in related discipline (Computer Science/Business/Health Informatics) or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

8+ years of recent direct Project Management experience in managing IT infrastructure and applications projects.
Occupational Certification
-
Certificate in Project Management Institute’s (PMI), Project Management Professional (PMP) is preferred.
Knowledge
-
Depth of knowledge of First Nations traditions and communication protocols.

Versed in the Project Management Institute’s Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) is required.

Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management methodology and best practices including agile/scrum, waterfall and hybrid.

Knowledge of project management techniques and tools.

Experience with operational readiness planning, service transition, change management, and benefits realization.
Competencies

Effective leadership, consulting, consensus building, conflict resolution, and negotiation and team-building skills are an asset.

Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work as a leader and a team player, including coaching project team members and managing project stakeholders, as well as taking direction from project sponsors and PMO Manager as required.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or Power BI including data modelling & visualization, KPI reporting, data analysis and executive reporting is preferred

Strong data management, data governance, and reporting experience, with the ability to analyze and present complex information effectively is preferred.

Strong understanding of audit, compliance, records management, and documentation best practices is preferred.

The Pay Range is the minimum and maximum annual salary based on full-time equivalent hours.
Incumbents are typically hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the range based on their knowledge, skills, abilities and experience in relation to the role requirements.
The top 10% of the pay range is for the incumbents who are industry experts in the job with the combination of exceptional experience and competencies needed to perform all duties and responsibilities at a superior capability level. Internal employee compensation will be determined as per the FNHA Employee Total Compensation Policy.
