Job Summary

Daydream Factory is looking for a reliable, outgoing, and customer-focused Part-Time Assistant Store Manager to help oversee the daily operations of our independent boutique in South Granville. Working two days per week, you'll play a key role in delivering an exceptional customer experience, supporting our community of local vendors, and representing Daydream Factory both in-store and on social media. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being on camera and is excited to be one of the faces of our brand.

Duties

Open and close the store independently.
Deliver exceptional customer service and assist customers with product recommendations.
Process sales, returns, and transactions through the POS system.
Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing store.
Restock products and assist vendors with inventory management.
Merchandise displays to ensure products are presented attractively.
Create Instagram Reels, TikToks, Stories, and other social media content during shifts.
Appear confidently on camera to create engaging videos, and represent the Daydream Factory brand.
Showcase products, introduce vendors, and participate in marketing campaigns.
Support in-store promotions, events, and community initiatives.
Assist with general store operations and complete other duties as assigned.

Skills

Previous retail experience preferred.
Comfortable speaking on camera and creating engaging social media content.
Confident, energetic, and personable, with a natural ability to connect with people.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Familiarity with Instagram, TikTok, and current social media trends.
Experience filming and editing short-form videos is an asset.
Experience with retail POS systems is an asset.
