LNS Services, part of Norland Limited, is an industrial construction and maintenance contractor that provides project management, engineering, and construction services to heavy industrial facilities and processing plants throughout British Columbia. LNS has successfully completed a wide range of engineering and construction projects in the materials handling, forestry, manufacturing and aggregates sectors.
We are seeking skilled tradespeople with experience working on industrial equipment and associated structural steel to support project and shutdown-based work across the Lower Mainland.

Positions Overview:

Project & Shutdown-based employment with durations ranging from Daily, Weekly & Monthly.

Overtime often available, and shift work required on some jobs.

Training opportunities
Qualifications & Skills:
-
3 years of experience in Industrial construction and maintenance preferred.
-
Red Seal certification (or equivalent International Trade Qualification) preferred.
-
Self-motivated, driven and work focused with emphasis on safe working procedures.
-
Excellent time management, prioritization, multitasking and extent of skills and competencies required to achieve the goals of the position.
-
Experience in working at industrial facilities considered an asset (port terminals, concrete processing facilities, mines)
-
Experience working on bulk material handling equipment considered an asset (conveyors, bucket elevators, ship loaders, railcar dumpers, scales etc.)
-
Chargehand/Foreman experience preferred. (Ability to lead, guide, and oversee work scopes and field crews).

Must have valid Class 5 Driver License.

First Aid and CSO experience is an asset.

Project management experience is an asset.

Ability to work independently and as a team player.

Excellent communication skills.

Location: Job sites will vary across the Lower Mainland and throughout BC, and we would like to prioritize local candidates.
Compensation:
This is a Unionized position with LNS - USW 1-1937. This position will earn Union wages and will have access to extended Union healthcare and benefits, a Union-sponsored pension plan, and additional training through the Training Plan. Unionized wage range for this position is $31.58 (for a first-year apprentice) - $52.64 (Journeyperson) per hour (based on candidate’s experience), plus 12% vacation/statutory holiday pay.
