Full job description

We are seeking manufacturing machine operators and assemblers with experience for our busy client in Ottawa's south end. This is a full-time position in a manufacturing-based environment.

Shifts:

Days - 7:00am to 3:30pm and 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday to Friday
Evenings - 3:30pm-2:00am Monday to Thursday (NOTE: Public transit does not operate after midnight, so you must have your own vehicle to work this shift)

Key job responsibilities:

Produce components by assembling parts and subassemblies
Plan the sequence of necessary actions for the completion of a job
Use hand tools or machines to assemble parts
Work in a variety of departments (Paint, Masking, NPC, PEM, Packaging, Assembly)
Comply with safety rules and regulations during course of duties
Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies.
Check output to ensure consistency with specifications and discard defects
Keep records of approved and defective units or final products
Independently perform basic maintenance on equipment
Comply with engine manuals, technical data and work instruction for all machining operations
