Objectif du poste :

En tant que technicien de maintenance, vous effectuerez les activités quotidiennes d’entretien des équipements et du bâtiment. L’objectif est d’augmenter l’efficacité et la productivité de l’entreprise, ainsi que la satisfaction des clients internes et externes. L’accent principal de ce poste est d’assurer le bon fonctionnement des équipements de manutention pendant toute la durée des quarts opérationnels. Vous serez également responsable d’autres composants hydrauliques et mécaniques liés aux opérations de l’entrepôt.

Responsabilités :

Assembler, examiner et analyser les rapports d’inspection quotidiens soumis par les caristes et les superviseurs des opérations.
Effectuer l’entretien préventif interne quotidien, hebdomadaire et mensuel ainsi que le dépannage léger des équipements de manutention et de leurs accessoires.
Diagnostiquer, ajuster et effectuer des réparations légères sur les pièces mécaniques, hydrauliques ou électriques des équipements de manutention et des portes de quai.
Accompagner les techniciens externes lors des réparations et de l’entretien préventif liés aux équipements de manutention et aux portes de quai.
Participer à l’entretien et aux réparations légères de la flotte de transport de l’entreprise.
Soumettre au superviseur la liste des pièces à commander et assurer le suivi de l’inventaire en stock.
Respecter les procédures et règles de santé, de sécurité et de qualité.
Participer à l’organisation et au nettoyage de l’aire de travail.
Communiquer au superviseur les observations et besoins relatifs aux équipements et aux installations.
Effectuer toute autre tâche requise.
Assister sur divers projets internes tels que des rénovations légères et des tâches d’entretien du bâtiment.

Qualifications requises :

Une année ou plus d’expérience en mécanique générale, avec ou sans DEP.
Bilinguisme fonctionnel : français et anglais.
Apprécie le travail manuel et capable d’auto-apprentissage.
Rigueur, rapidité d’exécution, esprit d’équipe et autonomie.
Bonne condition physique, incluant la capacité de soulever et de tirer des charges pouvant peser jusqu’à 25 kg, ainsi que de travailler debout pendant de longues périodes.
Permis valide de cariste (atout).
Maîtrise de l’utilisation et de la réparation des équipements de levage – opération efficace des chariots élévateurs et transpalettes.
Expérience avec les chariots élévateurs bilatéraux (atout).
Capacité à travailler sous pression, à respecter les délais et à résoudre des problèmes.
Capacité à travailler de manière autonome et en équipe, ainsi qu’à gérer plusieurs priorités.
Capacité à rester debout, à se pencher et à atteindre des zones en hauteur pendant de longues périodes.
Sens du détail, ponctualité et organisation.
Capacité à travailler dans un environnement à température contrôlée ou dans des conditions climatiques extrêmes en cas d’urgence.

Purpose of the position:

As a Maintenance Technician, you will perform daily equipment and building maintenance activities. The goal is to increase the company's efficiency, productivity, and internal and external customer satisfaction. The main focus of this position is to have the company material handling equipment running smoothly for the duration of operational shifts. They will also oversee other hydraulic and mechanical components related to warehouse functions.

Responsibilities

Assemble, review and analyze the daily inspection reports submitted by the lift operators and operations’ supervisors
Perform daily, weekly and monthly internal preventive maintenance and light troubleshooting of material handling equipment and accessories
Diagnose, adjust and light duty repair of mechanical, hydraulic or electrical parts on material handling equipment and dock doors
Accompany 3rd party technicians for reparation and preventive maintenance related to operations and maintenance of material handling equipment and dock doors
Support in maintenance and light duty repairs of company transport fleet
Submit required parts to be ordered to the Supervisor and keep stock of inventory on hand
Abide and follow health, safety and quality procedures and rules
Participate in organizing and cleaning of the work area
Communicate equipment and facilities operational observations and needs to the Supervisor
Perform additional tasks as required
Assist on various in-house projects such as light renovations and building maintenance tasks

Required Qualifications

One year or more of experience in general mechanics, with or without a DE
Functional bilingualism: French and English
Enjoys hands-on work, capable of self-learning
Diligence, speed of execution, teamwork spirit, and autonomy
Good physical condition, including the ability to lift and pull products weighing up to 25 kg and to work standing for long periods
Valid forklift operator’s license (asset)
Proficiency in operating and reparation of lifting equipment – Efficient operation of forklifts and pallet jacks
Bilateral Forklift Trucks (asset)
Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and solve problems
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to manage multiple priorities
Ability to stand, bend, and reach overhead for extended periods
Attention to detail, punctual, and organized
Ability to work in a temperature-controlled environment or emergency extreme outdoor temperatures if required
