The OpportunityAnthem Sports & Entertainment is seeking a driven, entrepreneurial, and highly motivated Manager, Partnerships & Sponsorship Sales to join our growing commercial team based in Toronto. This role will focus on developing sponsorship, advertising, and partnership opportunities across Anthem’s portfolio of premium sports and media properties, including TNA Wrestling, FIGHT Network, Game+, and associated digital, FAST, streaming, and live event platforms. The ideal candidate has a passion for sports, media, and entertainment, strong prospecting skills, and an established network of brand and agency relationships within the Canadian marketplace. This individual will play a key role in identifying new business opportunities, building customized partnership programs, and generating revenue through strategic sponsorship sales. This is a highly sales-focused role requiring a proactive hunter mentality. The successful candidate will leverage existing relationships throughout the Canadian marketplace while also conducting significant outbound prospecting and cold-calling efforts to develop new business opportunities and drive revenue growth across Anthem Sports & Entertainment's portfolio of properties.Key Responsibilities
- Generate qualified sponsorship and advertising opportunities by leveraging existing relationships, conducting outbound prospecting, cold calling, networking, and business development efforts throughout Canada.
- Build and maintain relationships with Canadian brands, agencies, media buyers, sponsorship decision-makers, and experiential marketing firms.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified prospects across key categories including automotive, financial services, telecommunications, QSR, retail, travel, technology, gaming, and consumer packaged goods.
- Conduct a high volume of weekly sales outreach activities, including calls, meetings, presentations, and new business pitches.
- Identify and cultivate relationships with experiential and activation agencies that can integrate Anthem properties into broader client marketing programs.
- Develop and execute strategic account plans designed to convert prospects into long-term partners.
- Assist senior sales leadership with partnership development, proposal creation, negotiations, and closing opportunities.
- Prepare sales presentations, proposals, pricing packages, and partnership recap reports.
- Support partner activation planning and client servicing for live events and broadcasts
What We’re Looking For
- 3–5+ years of experience in sponsorship sales, media sales, sports marketing, advertising sales, or partnership development.
- Demonstrated success in cold calling, prospecting, and generating new business opportunities.
- Established network of relationships within the Canadian marketing, sponsorship, advertising, agency, and brand communities strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to open doors, secure meetings, and develop opportunities through both existing relationships and outbound sales efforts.
- Track record of meeting or exceeding revenue goals in a highly competitive sales environment.
- Comfortable making a high volume of outbound calls and conducting proactive business development activities on a daily basis.
- Strong understanding of integrated marketing, sponsorship activation, and media partnerships.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and CRM platforms.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Self-starter who thrives in an entrepreneurial and fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments.
- Willingness to travel throughout Canada and occasionally the United States as business needs require.
- Sports, entertainment, television, streaming, or media industry experience.
- Experience selling integrated sponsorship packages that include live events, broadcast, digital, social media, and hospitality assets.
- Knowledge of the Canadian sports, media, and advertising landscape.
- Existing relationships with Canadian agencies, brands, sponsorship buyers, and experiential marketing firms.
