About Keystone:
Keystone Child, Youth & Family Services is a dynamic, not-for-profit organization and the designated Lead Agency for Children’s Mental Health in Grey and Bruce Counties. Since 1974, we have been dedicated to supporting children, youth, and families by delivering compassionate, responsive mental health services.
At Keystone, we provide a full continuum of services, including counseling, prevention and well-being programs, short-term live-in treatment, crisis stabilization, youth justice services, and special needs programming. Our focus on coordinated access ensures that every child and youth aged 0-17 receives tailored, multi-disciplinary care to meet their unique needs.
Overview
Keystone Child, Youth & Family Services is seeking a motivated student to support prevention and early intervention programming for children and families across Grey and Bruce Counties.
Working alongside our Prevention Team, the student will assist with the planning, coordination, and delivery of community-based group programming for children, youth, and caregivers.
This position provides an excellent opportunity for students interested in child development, family support, mental health promotion, community programming, and group facilitation.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning and delivery of prevention and early intervention group programs
- Assist with age-appropriate activities, play-based learning, and parent-child programming
- Support community outreach and engagement activities
- Prepare program materials, supplies, and activity resources
- Assist with participant registration, attendance tracking, and program documentation
- Support Program Facilitators during group sessions and community events
- Contribute ideas for activities that promote healthy child development, social-emotional well-being, and family connection
- Maintain a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for participants
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Child and Youth Care, Early Childhood Education, Social Service Worker, Social Work, Psychology, nursing or relevant Program in early childhood development
- Interest in prevention, child development, family support, and community-based services
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Experience working with children, youth, or families is considered an asset
- Valid driver's licence and access to vehicle as travelling to different sites for groups is a requirement (mileage will be reimbursed per company Policy)

Roles are in person based in Bruce /Grey Counties with travel required to program locations (Mileage will be reimbursed)
Working 35 hours per week
Rate of pay is $20 + 8% in lieu of benefits
Program may be funded either through Canada Summer jobs or PHAC fund

Pay: $20.00 per hour
