Job Description: Painter / handyman
As a Skilled trade you will be part of an ambitious and hard-working team. You will play a supporting role for an established construction and renovation business directly under a Project Manager based out of the Waterloo region. The role is physical and no two jobs are ever the same, which keeps things interesting. Responsibilities: · Work hands on to complete jobs for clients· You will be responsible for producing a high quality job, in a respectful and professional manner · Interacting daily with homeowners and other tradesman · You will need to have a work vehicle to be able to carry your tools and materials required to do the job · Stay one step ahead and always ask questions when unsure of something · Production and tasks will include: · Physical manual labour · Producing demolition, formwork, framing, and finishing work in a safe planned manner · Reading construction plans and visualizing a final product · Layout and framing of wall structures · Installation of windows and doors · Installation of finish trim work such as baseboard, door casing and crown molding · Assisting other tradesmen · Organizing and cleaning job site · Ladder work · Operating power tools Qualifications: · 2-3 years of renovations experience and the confidence to lead and complete basic tasks · Experience in residential and commercial renovations Be goal oriented and be self-motivated · Be reliable and take pride in what you do · Have grit and determination · You must be passionate for the construction and renovation industry · Be able to take directions and follow instructions · Be reliable, friendly and courteous · You must want to learn, be open to new processes and systems, and have a “can do” attitude · Be available to work full time hours and occasional Saturdays · You must own basic hand tools and a pouch as well as steel toed boots · Basic knowledge in construction and operating power tools · Have a valid driver’s license and a vehicle Perks: · You will be gaining experience in the areas of residential and commercial renovations, leadership, time management, goal setting and customer service · You will work mostly inside during the winter months · You will work with like-minded peers · You will be rewarded with the opportunity to move up with in the company · We are undergoing growth and seek to enhance our talented team with a Skilled trade with 2-3 years of renovation experience.

Must be willing to learn the following...
- Flooring(plank, laminate, tile installation)
- Basic finish carpentry (baseboard, casing, door, installation)
-must have a business registration and HST number or willing to get one
