We are hiring a high‑energy, results‑driven Outside Sales Representative to expand our footprint across Ontario within our Gatsteel division. This role is built for sales professionals who believe opportunity is created through activity - dialing phones, visiting plants, asking for the order, and outworking the competition. This role is also part of our long-term growth plan.
Whether you are an experienced sales professional in the steel industry or an ambitious early-career candidate eager to learn the business, this role offers the opportunity to develop within a growing organization. You’ll work alongside experienced sales professionals to learn the business and help build the next generation of talent as our team continues to evolve.
This is an in‑office and field‑based role. When you’re not visiting customers, you’re in the office prospecting, preparing visits, and building pipeline.
What You Will Own
New Business Development (Primary Focus)
- Open new accounts and re‑activate dormant customers across Ontario
- Prospect via cold calls, in‑person facility visits, referrals, and outbound campaigns
- Win business by showing up more often and adding more value
- Build a repeatable pipeline of new opportunities
Daily & Weekly Sales Activity
- Consistent outbound calling and visit cadence
- Regular plant tours and face‑to‑face prospect meetings
- Accurate pipeline tracking and opportunity follow‑up
- High visibility of effort, activity, and results
Revenue & Performance
- Meet or exceed monthly volume and margin targets
- Quote competitively and close profitably
- Take full ownership of your customers, prospects, numbers, and growth
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in B2B sales, industrial distribution, manufacturing, metals, or customer-facing roles is preferred
- We welcome both emerging sales talent looking to build a career and experienced industry professionals seeking a high-performance environment
- Proven work ethic and willingness to prospect daily
- Comfortable hearing “no” and pushing forward
- Competitive mindset with a strong desire to win
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within Ontario
- Direct industry experience is an asset—but coachability, effort, and resilience matter more

Pay: $70,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
