Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Wildlife Control Technician to join our growing team. The successful candidate will inspect properties, identify wildlife entry points, safely remove nuisance wildlife, perform exclusion work, and educate customers on preventing future wildlife issues.
Responsibilities
- Perform inspections for wildlife activity, including raccoons, squirrels, skunks, birds, bats, mice, rats, and other nuisance animals.
- Install and remove humane live traps, one-way doors, and exclusion devices.
- Relocate wildlife in accordance with Ontario regulations and company policies.
- Seal entry points using steel mesh, galvanized screening, flashing, caulking, and other exclusion materials.
- Repair minor wildlife damage to soffits, vents, rooflines, and siding.
- Work safely on ladders, roofs, attics, crawlspaces, and confined spaces.
- Remove nesting materials and contaminated debris when required.
- Take before-and-after photographs and complete digital inspection reports.
- Explain findings, treatment plans, warranties, and prevention recommendations to customers.
- Maintain company vehicles, equipment, and inventory.
- Follow all Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks (MECP) regulations and company safety procedures.
- Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Participate in after-hours and emergency wildlife calls when scheduled.
Qualifications
- Previous wildlife control, pest control, roofing, construction, or handyman experience is an asset.
- Valid Ontario G Class driver's licence with a clean driving record.
- Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg).
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to use smartphones and mobile apps for reports and scheduling.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check.
Preferred Qualifications
- Structural Exterminator Licence (Ontario) is an asset.
- Working at Heights certification.
- Ladder Safety training.
- First Aid & CPR certification.
- Experience with wildlife exclusion and construction repairs.
Physical Requirements
- Climb ladders and access roofs safely.
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Enter attics, crawlspaces, and tight spaces.
- Lift, carry, and transport equipment and materials.
- Stand, kneel, bend, and climb for extended periods.

Schedule
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability as required
- On-call rotation for emergency wildlife services

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
