About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on Social Media & Digital Content Creator to take ownership of content creation and digital brand growth for Josef Gas and WeldersHelper.com.
This is an in-house role focused on building awareness, engagement, and traffic across multiple brands in the industrial gases, welding supply, and propane sectors.
You will work closely with our webmaster, external Google Ads agency, and SEO partners managing Josef Gas and WeldersHelper.com.
This is not a “post-and-wait” marketing role. We want someone who creates ideas, builds content, tests marketing angles, and actively helps grow both brands.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation & Social Media
- Create daily/weekly content for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube
- Film and edit short-form videos (Reels, TikTok-style, YouTube Shorts)
- Develop “how-to” videos (welding tips, gas safety, product demos, jobsite setups)
- Capture in-warehouse, delivery, and field content (propane, welding, cylinders, shop activity)
- Highlight products, staff, customers, and real-world jobsite use cases
- Maintain a consistent brand voice for Josef Gas and WeldersHelper.com
Marketing & Growth Ideas
- Generate new campaign ideas (giveaways, seasonal promos, lead magnets, contests)
- Work with email marketing team to develop engaging campaign concepts
- Suggest and test new content angles to increase engagement and traffic
- Build awareness strategies for both B2B industrial customers and online welding buyers
Website & Digital Experience Input
- Work with the webmaster to improve site design, UX, and conversion flow
- Suggest improvements like:
- Chat features or live support tools
- Product page enhancements
- Landing page ideas
- Video integration
- Homepage updates and merchandising layout
- Help identify gaps in customer experience on both websites
Advertising & SEO Collaboration
- Coordinate content with 3rd party Google Ads team.
- Support 3rd party SEO teams for both of our brands with content ideas
- Help create blog ideas, category page enhancements, and product education content
- Contribute to keyword-driven content suggestions based on real customer questions
- Come up with other options for advertising; Facebook ads or digital ads from other vendors
Brand Awareness & Community Building
- Manage and update Google My Business Listing
- Manage and grow LinkedIn presence for industrial and B2B audiences
- Build brand storytelling for technicians, welders, contractors, and buyers
- Create content that positions Josef Gas as a technical leader in gases and welding supply
- Highlight RS Group brands where relevant (including RS Bulk Propane and related divisions)
Ideal Candidate
- Experience in social media content creation (video-first preferred)
- Comfortable filming, editing, and posting content independently
- Strong creative thinking and marketing instincts
- Basic understanding of ecommerce and digital marketing funnels
- Ability to work with technical products (welding, gas, industrial supply) or willingness to learn quickly
- Familiarity with tools like Canva, CapCut, Adobe, or similar editing tools
- Bonus: experience in trades, welding, industrial, or manufacturing industries

- Consistent high-quality video content being published weekly
- Stronger engagement on social channels (views, shares, comments, leads)
- More traffic driven to WeldersHelper.com from social and content
- Improved conversion rate ideas implemented on both websites
- Active contribution to marketing campaigns, email blasts, and promotions

Why This Role Matters
We are scaling both the industrial supply and ecommerce sides of the business. Content is now a key driver of growth in both B2B and online sales. This role will directly impact brand awareness, lead generation, and customer acquisition across the GTA and beyond.
Pay: $60,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
