StrongKey, a 25 year old data security company with offices in California, North Carolina, and Puerto Rico, is looking for motivated and detail oriented QA Engineers to join our team. We are building out our engineering/support teams in Calgary, and are looking for candidates who are excited about cutting edge technology, data security, and building some of the most secure applications in the world!

Required Qualifications:
- Graduate in Computer Science or related field within the last 7 years
- Good English communication skills - written and spoken
- Understanding of the software release cycle and the role QA plays
- Strong familiarity with QA methodologies, test design, bug prioritization, software release workflows, etc.
Desired Qualifications/Traits:
- Linux administration knowledge
- Experience with engineering lab environments for product bring-up and development
- Self starter, capable of planning and carrying out tasks within their assigned area
- Experience working in fast-paced environment with multiple parallel activities
- Scripting skills and proven experience in Java or other programming languages
- Knowledge of Linux/Windows OS
- Knowledge of security baselines for systems and products
- Ability to lift up to 65lbs
- Understanding of Nessus
Eventually, the individual hired will:
- Directly impact the performance and quality of our offerings, ensuring they consistently meet industry-leading standards
- Conduct both manual and automated tests, and contribute to the development of automation systems
- Bring up new lab setups, maintain existing infrastructure, and plan future lab engagements
- Review architecture, design, and requirements documents for new features
- Design and execute comprehensive test plans for both initial releases and ongoing updates
- Report bugs found during execution, assist with reproduction and debugging to understand root cause, verify bug fixes provided
- Conduct tests in various areas, including regression, performance, functional, and security
- Keep track of testing progress and generate summary reports of testing activities
This role will be primarily remote in the short term, with potential to be hybrid/in-person in 2027.
