Currently, we are recruiting for a Full-time, year-round Concrete Forming / Finisher to join our pour back team. This is hands-on position working on job sites across the lower mainland preparing, placing, and finishing concrete.
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting to the Field Manager and or Service Coordinator, the Concrete Forming / Finisher is a hands-on position. This person is capable of interpreting structural drawings and details to determine vapour barrier and reinforcing requirements, drilling dowel holes, installing rebar to spec, placing/finishing concrete and performing minor forming tasks on various construction sites across the Lower Mainland. Able to calculate concrete volumes and rebar quantities. Install and check formwork, granular base and steel reinforcement materials and direct placement of concrete into forms or onto surfaces according to grade, Level top surface concrete according to grade and depth specification, Impart desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Be a safety leader by adhering to and meeting all safety requirements and applicable safety policies.
- Read and interpret structural drawings to ensure concrete repairs are to project specifications
- Assist and or lead crews in slab repair scopes i.e vapour barrier installation, epoxy dowels installation, placing/finishing.
- Assist crews, as needed, in all different types of company services.
- Monitor and track field consumables on job sites and provide detailed field tickets
- Monitor and promote health and safety regulations, policies, and procedures in the workplace.
- Keep a clean, organized, and safe work environment
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven work history and knowledge of concrete and repair
- Ability to accurately calculate volumes and quantities in the field
- Read and interpret structural drawings and specifications
- Strong interpersonal skills to establish positive working relationships with managers, supervisors, co-workers.
- Clear verbal and written English communication skills.
- Valid Class 5 DL minimum requirement.
- Must be able to physically lift and carry rebar, concrete bags, and equipment and be able to kneel, bend, stoop, squat, and stretch to fulfill duties.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
- Full-Time Position
- Opportunity to work overtime
- $34 - $39.00 per hour based on experience and qualifications.
- Vacation pay accrual at the rate of 6% (3 weeks per year)
