Position Overview: Ridge Meadows Soccer Club is seeking a dynamic and passionate Head Coach – Girls (U8–U15). Reporting directly to the Sporting Director, you will be responsible for implementing RMSC girls programming, providing mentorship and support to female players, volunteer coaches, and parents, and ensuring seamless coordination of gamedays and training days in close partnership with the Foundation Phase & Development Phase Directors.
In addition, the Head Coach will directly coach a U12 or U13 Girls Team within our Performance Pathway Program and contribute as a valued member of the RMSC Academy Technical Coaching Team.
The Role will require availability during the following days. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday
Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will have a lived experience in female youth and adult sports such that they are able to provide detailed mentorship to female athletes and act as a role model where they can inspire and empower female players and coaches both on and off the field. They must demonstrate a strong work ethic, problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges. They must be dedicated to creating the best possible environment for female players, taking pride in their work, and thriving in a collaborative team setting with RMSC staff, Board members, and volunteers.
Experience and Certification Requirements:
- Experience coaching and leading within U8 – U15 female programming at a community soccer club
- Lived experience in female youth and adult sports
- Canada Soccer C-Diploma (minimum)
- Respect In Sport & NCCP Training Completed
- Successful candidate must pass a Criminal Record Check prior to employment
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement RMSC training and game models
- Support Foundation & Development Phase Directors with programming oversight
- Manage the on-field organization for training and gamedays
- Support Volunteer recruitment and Onboarding
- Mentor Apprentice Coaches and Volunteer Coaches
- Support RMSC In-Season Player Assessment process
- Support RMSC In-Season player movement
- Head Coach of either a U12 or U13 Performance Pathway Team or Group
- Coach within RMSC Academy Program
