MCL Group Ltd. is an experienced construction group who is consistently raising the bar as an employer! If you are that candidate, you will be a travelling crew installing containment systems on larger projects (landfills, ponds/reservoirs, industrial/energy). If you already have liner experience fantastic! If you have strong construction experience and want to properly learn a new trade - we will consider you. The safety and quality aspects of the job are non-negotiable (as they should be).

Core Duties required:

Install and support geosynthetic liner systems (as per project scope): geomembranes, geotextiles, geo-composites, GCLs, and related containment materials.
Assist with deployment: layout, positioning panels, ballasting/sandbags, protecting materials, and housekeeping.
Perform/assist with seaming and repairs (wedge welding/extrusion welding depending on experience and certification).
Support QA/QC activities as required: trial seams, assist with destructive/NDT processes, and complete/assist with field logs.
Work safely every day: PPE, lifting practices, hazard controls, and follow site rules.

We also require:

Willing to travel/rotate and work outdoors in variable conditions,
Reliable, safety-minded, able to follow direction/specs,
Physically able to handle active field work (walking, lifting, kneeling, pulling material),
Previous geomembrane/geosynthetics/liner installation experience,
Comfortable working around heavy equipment and active earthworks sites
Nice to have - IAGI CWT
Be able to successfully pass pre-employment test as a requirement for site specific access.
A requirement for the work is to speak and read fluent English.

Work Conditions:

Outdoor work in variable conditions,
Travel/rotation depending on project,
Active industrial sites around heavy equipment and earthworks.

Requirements of all applicants:

Must have a Class 5 Drivers License.
Ability to travel to remote locations and to be away from home up to 24 days at a time.
Ability to work 50+ hours per week (weather dependent).
Able to work efficiently and effectively as part of a team.
Positive and safety conscious attitude!

Any experience supporting testing/QA/QC (trial seams, NDT/destructive support, logging)?
