We are seeking a qualified and experienced “Drayage” Driver Dispatcher to work here in our Calgary Location.
This individual would preferably have the knowledge and expertise (workings of CN/CP) who could seamlessly join and assist our team of professionals to quickly take the “Reins” so-to-speak, using their skills in the timely execution of driver dispatching along with optimizing equipment allocations and usage which, ultimately supports and exceeds our customer expectations.
The potential incumbent would be familiar working within a fast-paced environment, be involved in the team day-to-day cost-effective planning, organization, tracking, system updates and customer communications.
Job Description: Drayage Dispatch
· Timely Acknowledgement of Customer requests
. Accurate interpretation of order requirements
. Data entry, entering orders into our TMS computer system
. Ability (Knowledge / experience) CN/CP order tracking / tracing, scheduling and execution associated with Drayage Dispatch
· Assess and support all driver inquiries, providing all needed information as required to support them with details and tools
· Provide solutions and delivery commitments to customers, dispatch, and planning.
· Work with customer to determine their needs and expectations and operate account to meet those demands.
· Book customer appointments for import and export containers.
· Provide regular timely customer reporting
· Interpret and manage various statistical data from Supervisors and operations
· Have a good working knowledge & strong interpersonal skills to manage geographical responsibility
· Demonstrate effective people management skills
· Perform duties as outlined in customer service training manual
Requirements:
Minimum 1-2 years experience required as a drayage dispatcher.
Strong Organizational and time management skills.
Able to work in fast-paced, detailed-oriented environment.
