JOB TITLE: Front Desk Agent

LOCATION: Comfort Inn & Suites, Fort Saskatchewan, AB

JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and organized Front Desk Agent to be the face of our hotel. You will be the first person our guests interact with, so a positive attitude and genuine desire to help people are the most important things you bring to this role. If you enjoy working with people, staying busy, and being part of a team that takes pride in great service, we want to hear from you.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Guest Services

Greet all guests warmly upon arrival and ensure a smooth, welcoming check-in experience
Process check-ins and check-outs accurately and efficiently
Answer phone calls and respond to guest inquiries in a professional and friendly manner
Handle guest concerns and complaints promptly, escalating to management when needed
Provide guests with information about hotel amenities, local attractions, and services
Process payments, issue receipts, and maintain an accurate cash float

Administrative & Operations

Make, modify, and cancel reservations using the hotel property management system (PMS)
Communicate guest requests and special needs to housekeeping and other departments
Complete shift reports and handover notes accurately
Follow all Comfort Inn brand standards and hotel policies and procedures

Property Upkeep

Keep the front desk, lobby, and common areas clean, tidy, and welcoming throughout your shift including mopping and general tidying as needed
Assist the laundry department during quieter periods by folding towels and linens
We are a team — everyone pitches in to keep the property running smoothly

QUALIFICATIONS

Previous customer service or front desk experience preferred; hotel experience is an asset
Comfortable working with computers and learning new software (hotel PMS training provided)
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Able to handle a fast-paced environment and stay calm under pressure
Reliable, punctual, and takes pride in doing the job right
A team player who is willing to roll up their sleeves when needed
Available to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
