Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Nursing Ward Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential administrative support to the Nursing Leadership Team and Registered Staff.

Qualifications:

Degree, Diploma, or Certificate in Medical Office Administration or similar related discipline preferred; in the absence of education, the employer may give consideration for worked experience if in the opinion of the employer, the candidate can successfully fulfil the duties of the position;
Experience in Retirement and/or Long-Term Care Home preferred;
Demonstrated ability to foster and maintain excellent working relationships with a broad range of individual and partner healthcare organizations;
Demonstrated ability to engage and collaborate with Residents and families to achieve best possible outcomes;
Demonstrated skills as an effective member of the multidisciplinary team, coupled with the ability to work independently;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with success in the area of building interpersonal relationships;
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Management of Resident paper health records, and electronic health records (PointClickCare);
Assist with admission and death/discharge of Residents;
Schedule Resident care conferences;
Supports the Nursing Leadership Team through a myriad of nursing administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, preparing charts, updating records, and correspondence related to Resident care;
Conduct audits and other quality improvement activities as assigned;
Support the onboarding of new staff;
Policy and Procedure management;
Maintain a clean and organized front desk area to promote a welcoming environment.
Answer multi-line phone system promptly and professionally, directing calls as needed

Start date for orientation forecast to be mid-August 2026; position requires a Police Record Check with a Vulnerable Sector Check dated within 6 months of hire.

Pay: $22.84-$26.27 per hour

Work Location: In person
