Robertson School of Health has an immediate need for a Health Care Aide Instructor.
Overview
We are seeking a Health Care Aide Clinical Instructor to join our School of Health. You will be reporting the the Manager, Operations School of Health.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Be available to problem-solve all students and staff for questions and concerns daily.
Support and guide students in a positive learning environment on the duties and responsibilities of an HCA.
Monitor students' skills on assigned tasks while out on practicum.
Complete weekly reports on students and their progress.
Provide feedback and assistance to students on positive or “need to work on” statements.
Collaborate with the preceptor/staff in completing a final evaluation of the student’s practical performance.
Facilitate filling out practicum checklists.
Review final evaluations with each student.
Document daily performance on students.
QUALIFICATIONS
5 years of current Health care experience, preferably working in Long-term Care.
LPN/RN license (required).
Current CPR and PHIA (preferred).
Experience instructing adults and/or delivering (individualized or group) workplace training is an asset.
Ability to work independently and make confident decisions.
Efficient in managing time and prioritizing tasks.
Proven reliability and consistent punctuality.
Approachable with a friendly demeanor, fostering a supportive environment.
Excellent problem-solving skills, verbal and written communication skills.
Flexible and responsive to changes in a fast-paces setting.
Multicultural sensitivity/awareness.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and standard computer applications.
Job Type: Fixed-term contract (Part-time)
Salary Rate: $34.00–$37.89
Schedule: Monday - Friday (Day/Evening Shift)
