Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. This role involves preparing high-quality dishes, assisting with food service, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking, food safety, and delivering excellent customer experiences in a fast-paced restaurant setting.

Responsibilities

Prepare ingredients and assist in meal preparation according to Mary Browns recipes and standards
Cook and assemble dishes efficiently while maintaining quality and presentation standards
Follow food safety guidelines to ensure proper handling, storage, and sanitation of all ingredients and equipment
Assist with food plating, garnishing, and portioning to ensure consistency across all dishes
Support the kitchen team during busy hours by managing multiple tasks simultaneously
Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and cooking equipment throughout shifts
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely food delivery
Adhere to restaurant policies regarding serving, food handling, and food safety regulations

Requirements

Previous experience in food preparation or cooking within a restaurant or food service environment is an asset.
Knowledge of food handling procedures and safety standards in the food industry
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail
Strong understanding of meal preparation techniques and culinary practices
Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends or evenings as needed
Prior experience with kitchen equipment operation is a plus but not mandatory
A genuine passion for food service, cooking, and delivering exceptional guest experiences

Job Type: Full-time
