Okanagan Frozen Dough is seeking a dedicated, career-oriented individual to join our team as Production Manager at our Armstrong, B.C. facility. Since 1994, we have been a trusted supplier of high-quality frozen dough products to bakers and grocers throughout Western Canada. As we transition and position ourselves to scale, we are looking for a full-time Production Manager to join our Armstrong senior leadership team. The Production Manager is a key leadership role within our Armstrong production facility and acts as the central point of coordination for the production team. This role provides oversight and leadership for food safety, quality assurance, production planning and scheduling, OHS, equipment care, and maintenance coordination. The ideal candidate will have experience leading teams, managing production priorities, supporting inventory and raw material planning, and working in an industrial food manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:
Leadership
· Set the tone as the leader of the production team
· Coach, support, and develop new and existing production employees as they grow within OKFD
· Organize, prioritize, and delegate tasks effectively for the team
· Communicate clearly and effectively with all departments within the production facility
Production Planning:
· Plan production activities to meet weekly sales and production requirements
· Ensure required resources are in place for production needs, including ingredients, labour, equipment, and maintenance support
· Complete daily manpower planning for each shift, currently one operating shift
Operations:
· Oversee the production supervisor and production staff to ensure procedures are properly implemented and followed
· Troubleshoot production issues quickly and effectively to minimize downtime
· Coordinate real-time adjustments on the production line to ensure product quality consistently meets OKFD standards
Safety and Food Safety
· Ensure compliance with applicable health and safety regulations within the assigned production area
· Work within and enforce all applicable requirements of OKFD’s food safety program, including SQF, HACCP, GMPs, and production staff compliance
· Act as a leader within the facility emergency response team
· Support implementation and continuous improvement of the OKFD food safety program with the Food Safety Supervisor
· Support first aid requirements for the facility, where applicable
Maintenance
· Work closely with the Maintenance team to minimize line disruption during equipment breakdowns and repairs
· Troubleshoot and assist Maintenance when equipment issues arise
· Work with the Maintenance Supervisor to schedule planned maintenance on production equipment
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have:
· 5+ years of supervisory or leadership experience within an industrial manufacturing setting, ideally within food manufacturing
· Knowledge of production lines, machinery, production processes, and production performance indicators
· Mechanical aptitude and excellent problem-solving skills
· Knowledge and experience in stock management, production planning, and scheduling techniques
· Knowledge and application of food safety, quality, sanitation, and GMP policies and procedures
· Knowledge and application of production KPIs
· Strong communication skills in a multicultural environment
· Demonstrated ability to lead production employees in a proactive, respectful, and positive manner
· Demonstrated problem-solving and leadership skills
· Knowledge of production scheduling
· Proficient with Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
· Ability to work shifts, including weekend shifts, with flexibility to adjust as required
· Preferred: Knowledge of SQF, HACCP, GMPs, and food safety procedures
· Preferred: Forklift certification
· Preferred: First aid certification
