Log Haul / Delivery Driver (Trailer-Mounted Picker) –
Aurora Cabins and Homes Inc. is hiring a Class 1 driver to haul logs and wood products across Saskatchewan and Alberta. We supply firewood, custom log home packages, and other timber products to a broad range of customers in rural areas.
Hours - Full-time; Typical week is 60–70 hours Usually five 12–14 hour days, start at 8:00 a.m. or earlier. Peak season may include six days a week
What you will do? Operate company trucks and trailer-mounted pickers to load, secure, haul, and unload logs and other wood products. Find delivery and pickup sites using rural land locations, maps, GPS, and customer directions, including off-pavement and yard access. Understand quantities, species, and weights so customers receive the correct volumes. Match loads to tickets, scale weights, and order details. Perform basic mechanical repairs on trucks and trailers for roadside breakdowns such as lights, air lines, tires, greasing, & hydraulic hoses using company supplied tool & parts kits.
Follow transportation laws, hours of service, permits, weight limits, and legal truck routing. Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, cargo checks, and ELD / time-clock entries.
Keep the truck clean and submit fuel receipts, delivery slips, and paperwork promptly. Communicate ETAs, delays, and site issues with dispatch and customers.
What we need. - Valid Class 1 licence with air brake endorsement and current commercial medical, Clean driving record, Ability to pass pre-employment and ongoing drug and alcohol testing.
Experience running a trailer-mounted or truck-mounted picker / log loader is a strong asset; however training is available for the right person. Fluent spoken and written English. CSA-certified safety boots, ability to work long days and be available six days a week during peak season.

Pay is $28–$40 per hour based on skill and experience:
Trainee $28/hr
Junior $31/hr
Senior $35/hr
Crew Chief $40/hr
As well we offer performance, equipment-care, and fuel-efficiency bonuses and vacation pay of 6% on each cheque. Bi-weekly pay by direct deposit, e-transfer, or cheque.
