Duties
Leads and coordinates ecological restoration projects within Parks Canada, overseeing site restoration planning and implementation while managing contracts to ensure compliance, quality, and timely delivery. Builds and maintains strong stakeholder relationships and works closely with technical specialists to integrate scientific expertise, regulatory requirements, and operational objectives into project outcomes.

Conditions of Employment (Must be met prior to employment)
- Possession and maintenance of a valid Class 5 driver’s licence
- Will be required to undergo and pass pre-placement and periodic medical checks
Your application must clearly explain how you meet the following
Education
ED1: Graduation with a degree from a recognized university with specialization in natural resource conservation, ecosystem management, project management, or other discipline relevant to the position.
Or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience

Experience
EX1: Recent* and significant** experience in project management; including preparing public tenders, managing contractors/consultants, permitting and reviewing specifications/drawings/technical evaluations.
EX2: Recent* and significant** experience in managing reclamation/restoration and/or vegetation management projects
EX3: Experience working with multiple stakeholders or partners to advance projects or initiatives
EX4: Experience in managing a program related to conservation
- Recent is defined as experience approximately acquired within the last five (5) years.
**Significant is defined as leading a project for more than 12 months as the primary manager responsible for at least 2 of the following project elements: (1)project planning, (2)project initiation, (3) project financial management (4) project implementation
Knowledge
K1: Knowledge of the project management standards
K2: Knowledge of major issues, management challenges/practices, and/or partnership opportunities related to disturbed site restoration/reclamation, invasive species management and native vegetation collection/propagation
K3: Knowledge of forestry practices and ecological restoration principles
