Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting aggregate/contaminate safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and excellent driving skills. The Truck Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the integrity of the freight and the equipment used to haul it.

Responsibilities

Operate trucks and trailers to transport aggregate/contaminate to designated locations.
Conduct pre, mid, and post trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel use, time, expenses, and any incidents that occur during transport.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
Perform routine maintenance on vehicles, including basic repairs as needed.
Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while on the road.

Requirements

Valid Class 1 driver's license with clean abstract is required.
Proven experience in aggregate and contaminate hauling is preferred.
Must have First Aid/CPR/ H2S, CSTC/CSO safety tickets.
Must have completed Cargo Securement, Pre-Trip Inspections, Provincial Hours of Service, and Weights and Dimensions courses.
Must wear all Personal Protective Equipment.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to perform basic repairs.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate clearly over the radio.
Must be able to pass background checks and drug screenings as required by company policy.
